Summary

Murders are happening all over San Francisco, and the stress on the Women’s Murder Club has never been higher。 How can the Club survive?

Trouble always finds the Women’s Murder Club。

Sergeant Lindsay Boxer, Medical Examiner Claire Washburn, Assistant District Attorney Yuki Castellano, and crime writer Cindy Thomas are celebrating at San Francisco’s finest restaurant。

But before they can raise their glasses to both a birthday and a wedding, a violent assault interrupts their festivities。

Claire examines the victim。 Lindsay makes an arrest。 Yuki takes the case。 Cindy covers it。

The case is complicated by the plaintiff’s unreliable version of events—and the shocking reason behind her ever-changing memory。

As Yuki argues the toughest case of her career, Lindsay chases down a high-society killer whose target practice may leave the Women’s Murder Club short a bridesmaid … or two。

This has brought Lindsay full circle。 There is so much going on, definitely never a dull moment。 We have a rape, cold blooded murder, job offers,a nd marriage what more can you ask for。? I’ve read all the Women’s Murder Club books and have enjoyed as the characters develop and mature into their careers with spouses and children。 The four best friends have provided hours of entertainment as they solve multiple mysteries, try cases and report them。 With 24 books in the series, these are best read sequentially for the building history as that plays into the personalities。 Thanks to NetGalley and Little, Brown and Company for the opportunity to read this ARC。

Really struggled to keep reading this book。 Have read all Women's Murder Club books and this was the worst。 So bitty。 Think JP needs to take a long break then start writing on his own again。 Really struggled to keep reading this book。 Have read all Women's Murder Club books and this was the worst。 So bitty。 Think JP needs to take a long break then start writing on his own again。 。。。more

This is the next installment in the Women's Murder Club and a must read for me。 I love these books and have fallen in love with the characters as well。 James Patterson and Maxine Paetro have captured many readers with these ladies and I don't know how they keep coming up with great stories that keep us begging for more from the Women's Murder Club! The Women's Murder Club is getting together to celebrate Claire's birthday at their usual restaurant when a scream from the upstairs area interrupts t This is the next installment in the Women's Murder Club and a must read for me。 I love these books and have fallen in love with the characters as well。 James Patterson and Maxine Paetro have captured many readers with these ladies and I don't know how they keep coming up with great stories that keep us begging for more from the Women's Murder Club! The Women's Murder Club is getting together to celebrate Claire's birthday at their usual restaurant when a scream from the upstairs area interrupts the celebration。 Of course Lindsay runs to see what is going on and finds a young lady cowered in the corner with bruises and half dressed。 With only one way out, Lindsay quickly realizes that the perpetrator that did this to her has to be close by。 When she looks around, she finds Tyler Cates naked and quickly apprehends him。 Tyler insists that Mary Ellen Hayes, the poor young lady cowered in the corner set him up and asked him to have sex with her。 Of course the rest of the Women's Murder Club is there to back Lindsay in no time。 What is interesting about Mary Ellen is that she has a disorder that lets her slip into different personalities when she is triggered or put in certain situations。 It is her way of dealing with things。 When there are two sides to what happened with the whole situation, will Yuki be able to get to the bottom of what really happened with Tyler and Mary Ellen?Meanwhile, Lindsay is on the case of solving a double homicide of a husband and wife。 They were killed a few months apart from each other but Lindsay is on the case to figure things out。 There is a lot going on in this book and keeps you turning the pages to find out what happened with all of it。 I always enjoy reading about the women in the Women's Murder Club and going along with them as they continue to live their lives and do their work。 The short chapters in true Patterson style makes for quick reading and easy to sneak in a chapter here and there when you have a short break。 I love that about his books too。 I know you will enjoy reading this new chapter in the Women's Murder Club as I did。 I really hope that these books keep coming! I enjoy them so much。 I voluntarily read and reviewed this book and all opinions are my own。 Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the authors for an advanced copy of this book。 So happy to rad it! 。。。more

Exactly what I expect from a WMC book。 Solid mystery, exciting action, with character development intermixed。 I think Yuki’s story was the weakest plot, but then I think Yuki is the weakest character。 An exciting, quick read。

Book 24 in The Murder Club series (a couple of novellas too!)。 Another great novel incorporating the lives of our lead ladies Lindsay Boxer, Cindy Thomas, Claire Washburn and Jill Bernhardt and the criminal justice world of San Francisco。This book combines different storyline’s with a high society killer and a victim of a crime with Dissociative identity disorder (DID)。Good quick moving novel, short but punchy chapters。 Great addition to the series

I love the women in this series, so I think that's why I keep reading it。 Overall, I was a little disappointed in this one。 There were 3 different cases going on, and in such a short book, I don't feel like any of them were really explored in detail very well。 Everything was wrapped up on each on really quick。 I love the short chapters and it's a super easy book to read, but I think I'm getting a little bored with this series。 *Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for providing a copy of th I love the women in this series, so I think that's why I keep reading it。 Overall, I was a little disappointed in this one。 There were 3 different cases going on, and in such a short book, I don't feel like any of them were really explored in detail very well。 Everything was wrapped up on each on really quick。 I love the short chapters and it's a super easy book to read, but I think I'm getting a little bored with this series。 *Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for providing a copy of this book to read and review。* 。。。more

As usual with the Women's Murder Club series of books, I have pretty high expectation and the 24th Hour has lived up to the rest of the series。 There are three different cases that Lindsay and the other members are working on, that theme through out the book and I really enjoyed it, particularly Yuki's very interesting court case which would have gone any way at all。 AS usual it has very short chapters and can easily be picked up as a standalone or part of the series。 It's a pretty quick read, p As usual with the Women's Murder Club series of books, I have pretty high expectation and the 24th Hour has lived up to the rest of the series。 There are three different cases that Lindsay and the other members are working on, that theme through out the book and I really enjoyed it, particularly Yuki's very interesting court case which would have gone any way at all。 AS usual it has very short chapters and can easily be picked up as a standalone or part of the series。 It's a pretty quick read, particularly as it end's at 85% of the way through, which is pretty annoying, as just fills up the other 15% with advertising other books I've either read or am not interested in。 I wish they wouldn't do this as it just annoys me and makes me feel a little cheated and doesn't add anything to the book。 However a big thank you to Random House UK, Cornerstone, Century for a thoroughly enjoyable 24th book in the Women's murder club series。 。。。more

I have read all the Women’s Murder Club books, so I was excited to read this next installment, The 24th Hour by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro。 The book follows three stories, an assault in a restaurant locker room, an online cyber attack investigated by Lindsay's husband, Joe Molinari, and the double murder of a wealthy couple six months apart。Overall, it was okay。 However, I am starting to get a bit bored with this series, and the books just don't seem to be the same as the earlier books in I have read all the Women’s Murder Club books, so I was excited to read this next installment, The 24th Hour by James Patterson and Maxine Paetro。 The book follows three stories, an assault in a restaurant locker room, an online cyber attack investigated by Lindsay's husband, Joe Molinari, and the double murder of a wealthy couple six months apart。Overall, it was okay。 However, I am starting to get a bit bored with this series, and the books just don't seem to be the same as the earlier books in this series。I would still recommend this book to fans of this series and these authors。#The24thHour #NetGalley @littlebrown 。。。more

Enjoy this series by Patterson, which is about 4 women who work as a cop, prosecutor, reporter and medical examiner。 They have a special friendship and help each other solve crimes。 I love their friendship probably a little more than the storylines about the crimes because the authors are giving each character a storyline instead of them solving one big crime together。 It’s always an easy read that I enjoy。 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Jay Porter

Not the best, 2 of the 3 stories seemed to end rather abrultly with no real reason and none of the cases seemed to be solved by actual police work, culprits caught by luck alone

My thanks to Net Galley and Little Brown for allowing me to review this arc。Sgt Lindsay Boxer and her Women's Murder Club are back in another winning read。 Multiple story arcs in this one。 Lindsay and her team solve the murder of a former Olympic champion and the prior murder of her husband, Yuki tries the rape case of a woman with Multiple personality disorder, and Lindsay s husband Joe takes center stage on a cyber case。 On top of that, Cindy is planning her wedding!Enjoyed the book very much。 My thanks to Net Galley and Little Brown for allowing me to review this arc。Sgt Lindsay Boxer and her Women's Murder Club are back in another winning read。 Multiple story arcs in this one。 Lindsay and her team solve the murder of a former Olympic champion and the prior murder of her husband, Yuki tries the rape case of a woman with Multiple personality disorder, and Lindsay s husband Joe takes center stage on a cyber case。 On top of that, Cindy is planning her wedding!Enjoyed the book very much。 It was a quick and easy read。 My only complaint was I wish it was just focused on one case like in earlier books where the whole team comes together to solve 。 A bit confusing and hard to focus on the jumping around of the multi story arc 。。。more

I have loved the Women’s Murder Club series since its inception and still envision Lindsay as portrayed by Angie Harmon! However, this book was a bit too formulaic in attempting to give each Club member an equal amount of page time。 Hopefully, future books will concentrate more on one central Club member and spin-related stories from that hub, making for a more interesting and well-developed story。 I received an ARC from NetGalley, and the opinions expressed are my own。

This book is part of a series following ‘The women’s murder Club’。 It can be read as a stand alone but on this occasion you definitely would benefit from having read previous ones。I found there was too much going on, a double murder, an assault on a woman with DDS and blackmail。 The chapters switched from one to the other which I found a little confusing。Hopefully just a little glitch as I love James Patterson books

I'm afraid that The 24th Hour was not my favourite James Patterson book。 I felt that there was just too much going on what with an alledged rape of a woman with disassociative personality traits, a husband and wife murder and a cyber crime。 The book seemed to lurch from one crime to another and back again。 I quite enjoyed the court scenes and the investigation into the double murder but there was too much, too complex detail involved in the solving of the cyber crime and I'm still not really sur I'm afraid that The 24th Hour was not my favourite James Patterson book。 I felt that there was just too much going on what with an alledged rape of a woman with disassociative personality traits, a husband and wife murder and a cyber crime。 The book seemed to lurch from one crime to another and back again。 I quite enjoyed the court scenes and the investigation into the double murder but there was too much, too complex detail involved in the solving of the cyber crime and I'm still not really sure what went on there。Of course patterson is a prolific and popular author so I am sure that many of his fans will enjoy it。 。。。more
